Olympic Mascots, the Chamois and Magic, the Elf

For the Albertville 1992 Olympic Games, the 1st mascot chosen was a chamois created by the illustrator Michel Pirus. He was seen skating at the closing ceremony of the 1988 Calgary Games in Canada. Named “Hola”, it was later abandoned in favor of “Magic”, the star-shaped elf, created by Philippe Mairesse in 1989.
