2014 Lausanne (Switzerland)
20th World Olympic Collectors Fair from 05/23 to 05/25/2014
There was a long time since the Olympic Collectors Fair had not returned in Lausanne since 2006, when took place the last at the Olympic Museum. So very happy with this return we joined the city on Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud. One way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Olympic fairs since their inception in 1994 with a return to basics.
Friday, May 23
It is no longer in the enclosure of the Museum that we are welcomed, but in a tent installed Place de la Navigation, in Ouchy, at the edge of the lake. The museum, recently renovated, has lost the terrace which received the collectors and is no longer able to welcome them back. Nevertheless, the location is nice, located not far from the museum. After our installation on the spot, the evening of May 23, a cocktail is graciously offered, followed by a visit to the renovated museum.
Saturday, May 24
The next day begins the fair. Many visitors flock. In the evening, a silent auction is held, followed by a gala dinner at the Olympic Museum, which features a café and a restaurant.
Sunday, May 25
On May 25, the last day of the 2014 Lausanne fair, exhibitors pack up and leave.
